The Big 30

Monday night I worked until 12:30am Tues morning, and when I got home this is what I found:

Not only was there a trail of kisses, but my WHOLE house was cleaned and even vaccuumed! And my amazing husband had done all of this after working a 12 hr day and not getting home until 8:30!! I knew this would be a good birthday!

The day was pretty low key, but definately fun with all the phone calls and the 2 GREAT gifts from my BFF Donelle in Texas-I loved the gifts, and cried while I opened them because she wasn't here! I miss you Donelle, and thanks for the gifts!

Everyone that called asked what Tyler had gotten me (he is the BEST gift giver in the entire world!) but Tyler had to work today, so I wasn't going to find out what was in the gift until 8:30!

I took the kids to their Spring Sing, and I really felt like Olive Garden, so Tyler and I and the kids met there after his work at 8:30!~ It was a kind of late night! When we got home I was pretty anxious to see what he had come up with! He was really thoughtful because he had the kids draw on the white wrapping paper, making it REALLY cute! He also made a HUGE cute candy card! It was very sweet!

Then I opened 3 gifts from the kids-an external hard drive, since I have used up all the memory on my desk top and almost all of my memory on my laptop, and a few other things, and then he brought out the final gift and it was very thin! When I opened it I found 2 tickets to the Phantom of the Opera in VEGAS for THIS WEEKEND!! He arranged the babysitter (Thanks Mom) and I had a TON of other things planned for this weekend so I wasn't going to work, and it ends up I am going to Vegas on THURSDAY!! I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, I won't be around this weekend!

Happy Birthday to ME! I must say I think I am the luckiest woman around to be married to such an amazing husband! He really is the BEST gift giver EVER! He will surprise me EVERY time! I love him so much! Thanks, Tyler! I can't wait for Thursday!

Turning 30!

My Good friend, Alene, and I are both turning 30 this year, so my FANTASTIC friends had a wonderful birthday party for us! It all started on Wed. when I recieved this box with this invite inside! I knew it would be a GREAT party! It was hosted at Tanisha's house, and she really outdid herself!

I could hardly wait!
The birthday girls-Thanks, Tanisha for the great outfits! They were perfect!

The decor was great-the first picture says welcome and the big one on the door says Happy Birthday!

We had delicious food, and ate at small tables with pillows on the ground. The placemats were custom made for each person! The ambiance was perfect!

What is a birthday without a cake! My great friends (Leslie and Jenn) also made us this very creative cake that went along perfectly with the "Asian" themeYes, those are sumo wrestlers! Isn't that GREAT!

Everyone had a GREAT time! Thank you to all my friends for making this so memorable! You gals are the BEST!

Field Trip

Wow, I am finally posting again! Sorry for the laziness, but there really hasn't been much going on. I love having boring streaks, but lucky for you, I got to go with Maddie and Payton on their field trip! We got to go on the bus (I think that was the most exciting part for most of the kids)

to Schnepf farms.

Here is my group! Maddie, Grace, Payton, Braiden

They got to pick lettuce

Go on a hay ride, and pet goats, and see pigs, a donkey, a horse and a cow.

Maddie loved petting the goats, and the pig had just had piglets 11 days ago!

Before we left they gave us some delicious cold juicy apples for a snack (it was 92' that day)and then we headed home! I love being involved in the kids school and was very excited to go! Thanks, Ben Franklin, for a great day, and Shnepf farms-you were fantastic! Wish we could have stayed longer!

Conference Apossum?

We were in the car on the way home tonight and I asked the kids, very excitedly, "Guess what tomorrow and Sunday are?!"

Maddie was so excited, and responded, "I know! It is when we get to hear the new Prophet speak, and see who the mystery apossum is going to be!"
So, we are very excited around here to see who the "mystery apossum" will be! I hope you all enjoy conference as much as I do! Have a great weekend!

Easter, Finally!

I know this is a little late, but I don't have anything else to post about, so here is Easter!

Dying Easter Eggs!

More Easter Eggs, the finished products:

Easter Outfits:

I love Easter because I remember my mom always staying up all night making us matching dresses. I made the girls dresses once, but I am not nearly as talented at sewing as my mom is, but I was able to find matching dresses at the store for cheaper than I could make them (and faster!)

I must say, in my totally unbiased opinion, I think I have the cutest kids EVER!
