Potty Time!

We decided it was time to start potty training Lexi. I didn't want to deal with the hassle of it all, but she is READY! So, Sat. she picked out Ariel and "Pinkybell" panties and we talked all about it. Monday morning we got her up, took off her diapers, and started giving her LOTS of juice!! I set the time for every 10 minutes and the 3rd time we put her on the potty she Peed! She LOVED getting a sucker as her treat! It was also great to have a fun fanclub that cheered her on! She also got to call Grandma Treats and tell her the good news. She was still eating her sucker when the 10 minutes were up, so we went back to the potty and she pee'd again! Again, she got a sucker (one in each hand). She is pretty smart and must have great control because 10 minutes later she pee'd again! And, of course, expected another sucker! I only had 5 suckers, so we started using Jelly Belly's-not as messy, and they don't take as long to eat!
Needless to say, she only had 2 accidents that day (one she pee'd through her panties into the potty-she couldn't get them off in time).

Yesterday was day 2. She did GREAT in the morning. In fact, I went in to get a pull-up on her so we could take the kids to school and I found her on the potty, pants down, pooping!! YEAHHHH!!!!! This was the hardest part for both twins, so I am very excited it is so easy for Lexi. She got a Pinkybell toy and we also moved her onto the big potty.
I'm sure I will keep you all posted on our Potty Party!! Today isn't going as well, but I think I just need to keep on top of things. I will let you know!

Mommy, can't we please???.........

Last Saturday I was out by the pool pulling LOTS of weeds and the kids just couldn't resist the water! The water was only 58', and yet they still got out last years swimsuits and swam!

Maddie was the only one that went completely under,
and Lexi thought the twins were NUTS to get in farther than their knees!

They had lots of fun and can't wait until it is Lots warmer to swim even more! That could happen this week! We might hit 80'!

Happy Birthday Bryson!

My older brother, Todd, baptized his son yesterday! Bryson turned eight and chose to be baptized! We are so proud of him! You can see how proud my brother is! It was a great baptism and my brother did a GREAT job!
Payton thinks Bryson is the BOMB and looks up to Bryson no matter what he does (Bryson also wears glasses). I'm so glad he has such a good example to look up to!
We love you, Bryson, and happy eighth Birthday!

Grandpa Dennison's Mountain

For President's Day I wanted to do something fun with the kids, other than the park, so we decided to go hiking. I knew I needed something simple because I would be on my own with 3 kids, so we decided to hike up Grandpa Dennison's mountain. It isn't really his mountain (obviously) but he climbled this mountain a couple weeks before he died. It overlooks his house and is kind of pretty!

We found the right road and started climbing up (me carrying Lexi most of the way).
The kids were so excited and LOVED it at the top. They were so worried about Lexi everytime she got too close to the edge! Aren't they sweet!
Lexi was in heaven picking lots of flowers (which made Maddie really nervous because there were bee's too!)
It was pretty green because of the rainfall over the past couple weeks!
Maddie and Payton also loved climbing on all of the rock formations at the top. Lexi couldn't climb up that high, and I was NOT going to climb with both of us to the top! :)
Here we are hiking down.
Goodbye Grandpa Dennison's Mountain!
After the mountain we went to Falcon Field and watched the airplanes land and take off. The best part was driving home and Payton said, "Mom, today was a FUN day!" and Maddie added, "The BEST day Ever!" and Payton replied, "Grandpa is probably really happy that we climbed his mountain! It is the best mountain EVER!"

Do you agree?

Take this test!
You're yellow, the color of joy and energy — two things you definitely bring to everyone around you. It's hard for anyone to be sad or lonely in your presence; your sunny disposition and cheery outlook just won't allow it. The warmth of your personality shines through in the kindness you show friends and family (and strangers, too). Always ready with a lighthearted joke or heartfelt compliment, you know how to make people feel good about themselves, so they can't get enough of you. Yellow is a warm and inviting color for a warm and inviting person — you!

Happy Valentines Day!!

Happy Valentines Day!

This is the face I woke up to Thursday Morning! Very dirty, but super cute!

Tyler is such a sweet Dad, for valentines every year he leaves a trail of candy all over the floor and some cute little gifts for the kids and a bunch of flowers for me and a single rose for the little girls! You can't see the candy very well, but it is ALL over the place!

For Valentines dinner I decided to make it really fancy! The kids LOVED using the nice plates and table cloth, and I had to explain what the napkin rings were! :) I also got out some wine glasses and we had sparkling apple cider. The kids loved drinking out of them like Ratatouille. It is amazing what they pick up on! I also had made a bunch of sugar cookies for the neighbors and I made one with each of the kids names on them and put them on a separate plate as name tags so the kids would know where to sit. Don't you love my beautiful flowers from Tyler?

Any of you that know Tyler know he is AMAZING and definately the BEST gift giver EVER! He comes up with the best and most creative things for every holiay! It is almost impossible to keep up with him! He is teaching me gift giving techniques! :) Anyways, I have been wanting a new vaccuum for a LONG time but he didn't think it was the kind of gift you give someone (not very creative) so he hasn't given it to me. Me, being the wierdo that I am thought it was an EXCELLENT gift and I thought for sure that I would get it for Christmas, but that wasn't "a good Christmas gift." I had kind of resigned myself to not getting one for a gift, but having to buy it myself. Well, yup, he of course researched like crazy, and new I wanted a Dyson, and got me this one! Let's just say I have spent almost all morning Vaccuuming my house! I still have a couple rooms to do, but they have to be cleaned first! I Love this vaccuum! Also, being the wierdo that I am, I LOVE seeing all the dirt that I pick up! Kind of gross, but, like I said, I'm a wierdo!

Tyler still doesn't understand why I am so excited, because I'm sure he had Lots of other fun things planned, but I LOVE this gift! I hope you all had a great valentines day too!

Mystery SOLVED!!

I guess I was just curious at first, but I put that map up on my site just to see where people were at that were looking at my blog! within a month someone from the great lakes area had checked my blog over 100 times!! I don't know ANYONE from the great lakes area (I don't think) so it started to worry me, and then I posted asking who people were and where they were from (I got some GREAT responses, thanks!) But no one from the Great Lakes area responded, so I put some new tracker on there to see where they were getting on my blog from, and I found out it is:
ME!! Yes, you heard that right! ME!! Apparently, when I check my blog from work it shows the ISP address from Ohio, which is where my companies home office is from, so if anyone has a tracker and it all of a sudden starts saying Mentor, OH, that is me checking your blog from work! Wow, what a relief! I was scared someone was stalking me and my family! I almost privatized mine! I regularly check my blog from work, so that makes sense why I have all the hits!!
Anyways, Mystery solved! Thanks for listening!
Have a GREAT Saturday!

Happy Birthday Bridal Shower!

Any of you who know me know that I have GREAT friends and we always have the BEST parties! This month it is Jenn's and Chrissy's birthday, so we planned a party! The new movie, 27 Dresses, just came out so we thought we would build the theme around that! We decided to take it a couple steps farther. We had a bridal birthday shower party! And, the theme for the night was bridesmaids dresses! That's right, everyone had to wear a bridesmaids dress that they wore at one time or another. A couple people used suits (you know what I"m talking about if youv'e seen the movie), and others just had some old dresses from previous parties! We all had lots of fun! We had bridal shower food:

Bridal shower gifts (chocolates, candles, bubble bath, books and even a bit of lingerie!):And beautiful dresses or suits from everyone!

After the desserts and presents and pictures we went to the movie, which was very good! Mostly all girls were in the theater, and I could tell they were jealous of all our beautiful bridesmaids dresses! Especially Tanisha's!

Happy Birthday Jenn and Chrissy! Thanks for letting us throw this GREAT party!!

Robbery

My brother Russell lives in Mesa. He woke up Wed. morning at 3:30am to his car alarm going off. When he walked outside the window to his wifes car was broken in and the tv inside the car was gone. He has had too many things stolen over the past 4 months (bikes in the middle of the day, and 4 times the cars have been broken into) so he installed some video surveillance. Thanks to this video the police were able to pull over the car and arrest the driver. The other two involved ran away and have not been found. Yes, they are illegal, and when they were caught they had a trunk full of stolen goods. Who knows how many people they hit that night. Worse, is that the driver had no documents (drivers lic, etc) and already had been arrested in 2005 for burglary. Anyways, check out the video!! Sorry, I wanted to post the video here, but I'm not able to. Check out the Youtube!

Practicing for Halloween!

So Lexi wanted to dress-up to "dance," and saw Maddie's old costume in the closet. We put that on her and, of course, Maddie and Payton wanted to join in the fun! Maddie got her Pegasus Costume out (she wore this in '06 and '05) and it is REALLY Small on her, and Payton wore his Anakin Costume that he wore for Halloween last year. As I am blogging they are acting out Cinderella being pulled by Pegasus and being protected by Anakin, and he will be the Prince soon too!! How cute is that! I love that they play so well together!
