Sleeping Arrangements

Well, last night our sleeping arrangements were slightly altered! We put the kids to bed about 8:30. Maddie and Payton were pretty good about going to sleep by about 8:45. Lexi, on the other hand, had a tougher time! She first started by trying to talk to Maddie, and when Maddie wouldn't respond she started saying she needed to go Potty. By about the 10th time (and around 10pm) she went into the bathroom to go potty, I told her this was the last time, and if she got out of bed again, she would sleep in the bathroom. Within 5 minutes, she was back in the bathroom, pull-up off, playing with the door, so I gathered her pillow and blankie and closed her in the bathroom (with the light on). She screamed, cried, begged, promised to "be a good girl," and yelled, anything she could think of, until finally, around 11:30 she FINALLY fell alseep, on the ground. Around midnight I carried her into bed, and she woke up a bit, and said, "I sleep in my bed?" and I said, "yes," to which she sweetly replied, "Oh, thank you! I be good girl." and went to sleep. I felt kind of bad, but tonight it only took one threat of sleeping in the bathroom, and she went to bed! Hopefully, she can continue sleeping in her bed, and not the bathroom!! So, here she is in her temporary "bed"

Bounce U!!

For My mother-in-laws Happy Birthday, and 3 of the Nephews Birthday, we all went to Bounce U, and indoor bounce house! It was SO FUN! We all had a blast, especially the adults! Happy Birthday Carlene, Forrest, Austin, and JJ!! Thanks for the great evening!
The following are some of the photos! Sorry, there are lots, but it was really fun!
One of the slides

Like I said, even the adults had fun!

Daddy and his little girl

This was a tug-of-war thing. Lexi wanted to try it, but as soon as we got her in it, she wanted nothing to do with it!

Let me OUT!!

The following photos are of the BIG slide! It was by far the hit with the kids!

Lexi had so much fun going on this slide, but by the end she could barely get herself up the ladder because she was so tired!

The other fun thing was the boxing ring! The gloves were so heavy I could hardly lift them! They weighed more than my kiddos!

This is my mother-in-law, Carlene, and Sister-in-law Kendyl BOXING! It was very fun!

All of the grandkids! Thanks for the great night, Carlene, and Happy Birthday!!

Maddie's Dance Recital

Maddie had a GREAT dance recital! She danced to the "Spanish" song in the Nutcracker! (Hence the black costume and red rose).

Grandma Dennison came to watch!

Maddie and her BFF, Kaeli

Maddie and her teacher, Ms. Erica (I danced with Erica when I was younger!)

Maddie and cousin Haylee

Lexi LOVES watching Maddie dance and can hardly wait for it to be her turn to dance! So cute!

Look at that second position!

Proud Daddy bought his beautiful ballerina flowers!

She also loved using the fans.

Grandma Treats came to watch!

I was so proud of my little dancer! She really is a natural and loves it! Reminds me of myself at that age!

Baseball

GO GIANTS!!

Payton did a season of baseball with Gilbert Little League. Although he didn't get to play with his ward friends, he was on a great team and got to meet lots of new friends. He was the youngest on his team but by the end of the season he got the award for most improved.

He looks so cute playing catcher!

One of the coaches told him that if he smiles while at bat he will almost always get a hit and the bigger the smile, the bigger the hit!

It really worked for Payton! He got at least 2-3 hits per game (out of 4)! Check out that cute smile!
They never sang the national anthem, but they always said the Pledge of Allegiance before every game.

He loved having fans come to watch: Here is Grandma Treats and Lexi

What to do?

Sorry I haven't blogged much, we have been busy, and I will have lots of posts over the next few days. Just an FYI, we all survived the flu bug and my house is not stinky anymore!
On to the POST!!!
Payton discovered that one of his teeth was VERY wiggly last night, so he was bound and determined to have it fall out today. Luckily, It didn't happen while we were at church. After church he asked for an apple (this kid does NOT like much fruit, especially apples) so he could bite into it to help his tooth be more wiggly. I gave him an apple and he was biting into it, complaining that his tooth didn't feel any looser, when he took another bite he felt for his tooth and it was GONE!! We searched everywhere, but couldn't find his tooth. I think it got swallowed with the apple! He was devastated! He started crying, and asking how he could get the tooth out. I explained it would eventually come out, and he asked if he could retrieve it at that time, which I emphatically told him NO! He was really sad because now the tooth fairy wouldn't give him any money. I told him that this probably happens a lot and if he wrote her a note explaining what happened she would still give him money. He left for about 5 minutes and this is what he came back with:

Isn't that too cute! I will translate: "Dear tooth feiree (fairy) I acdens (accidentaly) swalod (swallowed) my tooth"

I thought this was the cutest thing ever! After writing the note he said he better give the tooth fairy a treat to, just in case, so he left the note with, caramel taped to it, under his pillow.

Needless to say, he still got his sparkly dollar bill from the tooth fairy, and she loved the caramel and left the wrapper under his pillow so he would know she ate it!

Bad news and Good news!

First, the BAD news!

You might be wondering why in the world I would take a picture of my laundry, well, this is the laundry accumulated between 2-5am, and mind you, there is a load already in the washer and in the dryer! Maddie and Payton both have some sort of the flu and both threw up in their beds within about 1/2 an hour of each other, so they ended up sleeping on the floor in their sleeping bags. I am almost done with all the laundry, but whatever they have, I started with this morning. Poor Maddie had it coming out both ends (sorry, tmi) so she was up every 1/2 hour! Needless to say, it was a long night, and now today is full of yucky laundry! My house stinks, and I feel like CRAP! Hopefully tonight we can all just sleep! Luckily, Lexi and Tyler are feeling fine, and Tyler was home today! Now for the GOOD news, I received a new calling! I have been in some sort of Primary calling for the past 4 years and really wanting to get back to Relief Society and I am now going back to Relief Society as the new Secretary! It is kind of intimidating because Secretary's are organized and I am not, but I am very excited to get to know the women of our ward and listen to the lessons! (I don't ever have to teach, thank goodness!)
Hopefully I will have something better to post about later this week!

Grandpa Palmers fishing tournament!

We had so much fun at Grandpa Palmer's fishing tournament! Lexi won overall with a 12" fish and she won with the smallest princess pole! What a cutie.

Here are a bunch more photos from the day!
