WOW!! I'm Baaaaaaacccckkkkk!!!!

Oh My!! It has been SO long since I blogged!! So, since a picture says a thousand words, get ready for a NOVEL!!!
We had Easter...SO FUN!!!
Aren't my kids so super cute!!

I went to Women's conference with my BEST friends!!  2 straight days in a car, and we are STILL friends!!

We also went to the Bountiful Temple to do a session! loved it!!
Thanks for the great time, gals!! :)

May 7, 2011....Lexi lost her FIRST TOOTH!!  She was so cute. She called me crying, really SOBBING that her tooth was loose, and she was SOOOO scared. I could tell she was nervous because after I got her to stop crying, she asked a MILLION questions about what happens when she loses a tooth. She actually pulled it herself in the car...I had no idea, until it was OUT!! I must admit, I was kind of sad. My baby is growing up, and I'm not ready for that. At least her baby teeth reminded me that she was still my sweet baby. Even though she is MUCH older than I treat her, I still don't want her to grow up.....Anyways, here is her big hole in her mouth!
 Here is the Tooth....

And the sparkly money the tooth fairy left her....along with sparkles all over her face and bed.
Just this last week (May 26th) Maddie and Lexi were in the tub together and I heard Lexi SCREAMMMMM bloody murder, so I went running in there, and she was bleeding from her mouth, EVERYWHERE!! After cleaning her mouth up, we realized her other bottom tooth was barely hanging on, so I told her I was going to clean it up, and pulled it out in the process. She didn't know I had pulled it, so she kept crying for me not to pull it, until I showed it to her, then she started crying laughing. It was funny. Her first response was, Now I get to put it under my pillow!!
Maddie was no where to be found, but after talking to them, we realized Lexi had a toy in her mouth and Maddie had pulled it out, and it caught onto her bottom tooth in the process. It was NOT wiggly at all, so it probably did hurt, when it was pulled.

That night she put it under the pillow. Maddie had helped her write a note asking to keep the tooth. The tooth fairy happily complied, but while putting $$ under the pillow, the tooth fairy found a note written by Maddie, here is what it said,
"Dear Tooth Fairy, I'm sorry I pulled Lexi's tooth today. Everyone's getting mad at me. And Lexi is the only one that thanked me. Maybe you can give me a prize too. Maybe a treat or toy would do. But I mean I'm so sorry. Yours truly, Maddie
P.S. The treat or other thing can be put under my pillow."
Needless to say, the tooth fairy had a VERY good laugh, and wrote a sparkly note to Maddie thanking her for pulling her tooth, and she left 2 sparkly quarters, and told her she can't carry prizes since they are too heavy. Lexi got a sparkly quarter as well. Good times!!

Lexi had her last t-ball game. She loved it a lot more this year than last year. Way to go!

We also had my Dad's fishing tournament. The fish were scarce...in fact, Payton was the only one inour family that caught one!

But, we still had fun FISHING!!

Lexi had a dance recital. Go Broadway Baby!! I am her dance teacher, so check out my dance blog to see all my cute dancers!!!

After the dance recital, we went to Rockin' R for a night of fun! Check out these cowboys and cowgirls!
Sam, Josh, Payton, Maddie, Lexi and Lexi

Payton got his Bear! Way to go Payton!!

And, my little girl has OFFICIALLY graduated from Kindergarten! Doesn't she look SO smart!!

I am really proud of her. Lots of people said I shouldn't put her in Kindergarten since she missed the cutoff by 3 weeks, but I really felt she was ready, and I am SO glad her amazing teacher, Ms. Willis, agreed with me! We are both very happy with the decision! Check out this AMAZING hair!!!

First grade, here I COME!!!

Now, all of the craziness is GONE, and my kids are ALL MINE. We have 2 months together and I am going to try to make the most of it!! Lots of NO crazy days, weeks, months! :)

March Update

Wow, time goes by way too quickly!!  I have to get this on the blog....so here is what we did in March!! (April will be even fuller...YIKES!!)
Lexi had her field trip...boy did she have SO much fun! her favorite part??? the bus ride!!
They went to Superstition farms and got to see lots of animals and TONS of cows! They also got to have flavored chocolate milk and ice cream! Yummy! I had fun going with her.
These kids have been looking forward to this ALL YEAR!! They felt like such big kids!

Tyler and I painted our room. It used to be beige with burgundy stripes. I like the blue. We are going to do crown molding...hopefully soon! We also got this new desk! I love being organized!! It used to be a fold out table with a bunch of boxes. Believe me, this is SO much better! :)

Lexi started t-ball!! She LOVES it!!
Or, does she love looking for ladybugs?? :)

Payton went to District Pinewood derby and got 2nd place out of the Bears!! Woohooo!!

He loves this new trophy! Bigger than the first! Unfortunately, he didn't win overall for the district, but Tyler and Payton did a GREAT job on their car! Great job, boys!

Spring ball has begun again!! Payton usually plays catcher!
This was his last hit of the game. It was tied, 2 outs and 1 on base....he had 2 strikes...he swings.....and HITS it! It went over the infield and rolled past the outfield!! He ran and scored the winning run, and ran on to get a HOME RUN!!!

Wow, what an exciting game!! He was so happy! I loved his beaming little face. I think every boy needs to experience something like that. I'm so happy Payton got to. He got the game ball and was pretty proud of himself! Way to go, buddy!

The next day, after the home run, I had the opportunity to take Payton to a spring training game for the d-backs. My sister, Denise, took her 3 kids. I surprised Payton and took him out of school. He had NO idea! It was funny!

We had great seats...6th row, so we took the kids right down to the front for a picture. You can see the players at home plate, right behind them. :)
These funny guys ran on the field and then went up into the stands. See Payton in the red shirt?? You can see how tall that one is. It was "Randy Johnson" Haha!

This was the view from our seats

We took the kids up to the upper deck, just to give them an idea of what GREAT seats we had. They all got a little light headed from the height!! Haha!

Thanks for the fun day, De!!

That's it for March, at least, that was all that was on my camera! haha!! We have lots coming up for April....so stay tuned!

Pinewood Derby!!

Yesterday was Pinewood Derby, and BOY was it FUN!!! It started at 9am at our house for pre-wheigh-in. It was SO fun to see all the boys and their dads working on the cars! HOW FUN!!
Here is the "Official Weigh-in" that night!!

Check out all those CARS!!! That is JUST our ward....39 boys raced!!! It was CRAZY!!!!
Payton is the black one with the red stripes right at the bottom of the picture...by the hot glue gun. The Bears all made stands to hold their cars. SO COOL!!
Lexi found on of the ones that Tyler and Payton had messed up on, so she painted it herself and Tyler added the wheels.
We always have a "Filler" car that always loses. We have a great John Deer tractor, but it seemed to be racing a lot, so we let Lexi and another boy race their cars too....Lexi even got to race Payton...

Payton beat her, but she beat the other scout, so her car wasn't allowed to race, after that!! YIKES!! She thought it was GREAT that she got 2nd!!
On to more serious racing.....Payton is the black one in lane 1
1st place!!! WOOHOO!!!

After EVERY race, Payton's face was BEAMING. He was so proud and happy. It was priceless.
After all was said and done, he won......

2nd place overall!!!
That is out of 39 boys!!!

I am SO proud of my MEN!! They did a GREAT job and had a lot of fun! Good job, BOYS!!!
To end the night, we made these pinewood derby cars for every person!! They LOVED Them!!

jakey's blankies

Our baby, Jake Alan Dennison, was born on Jan 21st, 2009. He was born with HLHS and lost his tough battle 19 days later. He was such a joy to have for those 19 days. you can read his story by clicking this picture:

During Jake's life, some sweet friends of ours gave Jake two special blankets made from ultra-soft minky. He LOVED to snuggle in his blankets.
One white for his blessing day

One giraffe print for when we held him one last time...

Just a few months after Jake passed away, our family started "jakey's blankies." This is a way for us to pay it forward to other families with babies with heart conditions. With your help, we have been able to sew over 200 minky blankets for other babies born with heart defects just like Jake!! We know how special these babies are. With your donations, we can continue this project each year in memory of our sweet Baby Jake. We are going to hold this donation drive for the duration he lived...19 days. It starts today, his birthday, Jan 21-Feb 9th.
We love you all and thank you for your continued support!
You can donate via paypal with a check or Credit card here, or click the donate link on the right.

Happy Birthday...

Happy Birthday, Baby Jakey!!
(5 hours old!)
(I remember when this photo was taken. You were 12 days old. You had just had surgery 5 days earlier. I wasn't able to hold you after your surgery. Finally, after 5 days, you were extubated and my amazing nurse, Nicole, let me hold you. I held you for 2 hours. I felt like such a normal mom!! I rocked you, sang to you, talked to you, and I even talked on the phone and watched TV! Almost felt like a normal newborn....except for all the tubes. I was in pure heaven. It was one of those tender mercies...because 1 day later was that fateful day that everything went terribly wrong in the cath lab. I'm not going to dwell  on that. I want to remember the amazing 2 hours we spent together. Just me and you. All your stats were GREAT. I wished I could climb in your bed and hold you all night long.
Thanks for those 2 hours, buddy.)
I love you and miss you!!
Love,
Mommy

More updates

Ok, here is another update of Nov and Dec. For Nov, at the beginning, we went to Disneyland! We hadn't been in a while, so why not! :)

The girls LOVED meeting Rapunzel. Payton went since the boy was in the picture too! :)
Lexi didn't love splash mountain, but we had fun getting her to go on it once! It was WARM, so we spent a lot of time on Splash mountain. Lexi's new favorite ride was Grizzly Run. She loved it! And loved getting wet! I think we went 3 times a day! haha!

A week later we went to the Gilbert Temple Groundbreaking. We are VERY excited to have a temple in Gilbert! It will be 1 mile south of our house!
Maddie got a picture with the Golden shovels before the ceremony, but had to leave right before it ended, but me and Lexi and Payton stayed and got to shovel the ground with the golden shovels. I am SO glad my kids got to go to this.

That same day Lexi got in the pool. She had been dying to go swimming, so she got in. It wasn't freezing, but it was pretty cold! (about 55') She can hardly wait for spring/summer!

Every year for Thanksgiving my whole family goes to the zoo. We had so much fun! Check out all those grand kids!

Maddie was in the Nutcracker. She was a Gingerette! Here she is in full costume and Make-up! She had SO much fun, and was SO cute!

Here are ALL of the gingerettes!! This is the pose for the finale! So cute!

In the beginning of December we got to visit Santa and
And Mrs. Clause

Even Payton sat on Santa's lap. He really wanted the candy cane.

The kids had their choir concert. Lexi's first one! You could hear her over all 60 kindergartners! She did great! Doesn't she look cute! (she is in the front row, white skirt, black jacket, pink sash.)
The kids got their jammies from the elves....

Maddie got horses, of course...
Lexi got cute hearts!!

Tyler even got me jammies!

We hope you had a great Christmas and a memorable 2010. I know we did! We didn't send out Christmas cards this year, so don't be offended if you didn't get any....no one did!
I will update January soon!
